Blow Up
Yesterday could have been a visual for "Bad Parenting 101". Hopefully you all did better. I took it personally. Why are some days like that? Sometimes I can tell myself to remember the fear. Then all of a sudden the next day it hurts. I lashed out verbally. So today is start over day. If you've been having a rough time maybe you could start over today too. If you are overwhelmed, take care of yourself. I have a massage today at 3:30. Snuggle on the couch with your child and read a book. If they will not snuggle sit in the next chair to them and try to make some great eye contact. Don't let yourself continue in a downward spiral. Stop it now and get on back track. We are in this together.

I took it personal yesterday too...I felt duped, conned, lied to, set up, and overall felt foolish. I take those situations personal, even though I know better. We are human, with a Mother's heart. It is impossible for our hearts not to get effected even though our minds know better. I love a fresh start!!
So, what was it about yesterday??
We survived, and things had actually taken a step forward after it all passed. But BOY - it was bad.
Today is ds12's birthday, and so far so good, but he may lash out again tomorrow with the guilt of a celebration.
I've had the theme from "One Day at a Time" going through my head!!!
how did you know?
I'll have to start over tomorrow -- already blew it today and yesterday. Sigh.

Oh, Sweet friend! Everyone has bad days. I love how you are able to recognize it and turn around. It still is hard though, I know. I'm glad to hear that you do have bad days where you don't react the way you know you should. It is what will make you a wonderful counselor.
Well I guess tomorrow I'll have a start over day. Why is it that I have to pay for being "too nice"? When I'm a major b he acts so sweet, but if I'm too nice he shows me what a b he can be. Maybe I should just stop being nice to him. Oh wait, I'm taking it personally again. Such a life!

I so confuse myself at times that I must be confusing my daughter at times. It's sobering.
