Occupational Therapy

We began last night. He has a special brush he uses on his arms, legs, and back about 6 times a day. We came up with 3 times at school he can go in the rest room with it and use it. This is too help with tactile defensiveness, the feeling that so many things are physically uncomfortable: clothing, touch, and that sort of thing. She also had him do a couple of puzzles that will help with his inability to copy things from the board:

Parquetry: She puts the example poster up for him so he will look up and down similar to the board

I brushed my son too. He is not rad, but had sensory issues related to heavy drug use by the womb. It was a very effective tool for us and we saw immediate benefits!

THANKS! He really likes the way it feels.

I was going to ask if he will comply with the school use, but if he likes it, he might.

Actually so far he is complying. I think it is soothing.
