Having a child with RAD can at times feel like an endless roller coaster ride. Some days you put your hands up and enjoy the ride. Other times you just want off. Some days you think you may get sick!! My older child wit RAD had a detention for something earlier in the week. He finally served it today on his last opportunity. He came out of school mad as a hornet and took it out on me verbally. Then we got home and started slamming things around. My youngest child with RAD had a detention today for fighting. He came out to the car mad as a hornet (lots of hornets) and took it out on me. Of course, you have to realize none of it is ever their fault and that these teachers just pick on them. I pick on them and nothing is fair. I just said "There are consequences to all things we do." Oh and I should point out that I received a call saying my youngest child's grades are plummeting. His response. "Who cares?" So his dad and I told him that until he is strong enough to care and can show the maturity to handle it that we will care for him. Could be a long weekend. Although I did point out to them when they said how angry they were, that it is too bad for them. I plan on having great weekend. Bummer for them being mad.

I just emailed you to see how things were going because I hadn't seen anything new for a few days. I guess, in the meantime you posted. I'm sorry to hear about your day and the boys. Your attitude is so awesome though - whether they ever come to realize it or not, they are so blessed to have you as their mom! (((((((HUGS)))))))
