Residential Treatment

One kind of treatment used with emotionally disturbed children is residential treatment. It brings some scary pictures to mind for me. We toured one yesterday. Residential treatment can be a step for treatment for a child with RAD if all other methods have failed. "Failed" does not mean failure on the part of parents, therapists or anyone else involved. It means failure to heal. Such as a cancer treatment can fail to work for certain patients. Then you try a different one. What residential facilities can offer is structure, intensive counseling, and separation from family for a time to get a different perspective. In many of these facilities all privileges must be earned no matter how small. They are set up in "family" units in houses around the property and a "mom and dad" run each house. Does this sound like fun? NO. Would we ever consider it? If all else has failed. The most important thing in this is that our son heals. Not that we feel good, but that he heals. We are still working on twice a week therapy. I don't know if I dare say I detected a change since yesterdays tour, but I might. Residential treatment may sound like giving up to some, but to me it is a step in treatment.

That's interesting. I wondered how a facility like that is set up. I'm sure that had to be hard on you to do that. I hope things happen so that you don't have to travel down that road. You're faith and strength are amazing. Applause to you for doing what you must to help your son, no matter how difficult. That's love at its best. I am still praying for you my friend. Hang in there! Love you!

I agree. You have gone, and are going to great lengths, to show your son how much you love him. Boy, I wish it was easier.

I'm praying you won't need this new step and that something big is about to happen on his road to recovery.

Residential saved our family. I still hate that it came to it, and it didn't cure all, but it literally saved us.

I'm the sort of guy who passions to seek original things. Right now I'm building my personalized solar panels. I'm doing it all alone without the help of my staff. I am using the net as the only path to acheive that. I discovered a very awesome website which explains how to create solar panels and wind generators. The internet site explains all the steps involved in pv panel contruction.

I'm not sure about how precise the data given there iz. If some experts over here who had experience with these works can have a look and give your feedback in the site it will be great and I would really value it, because I extremely love solar panel construction.

Tnx for reading this. You people are great.
