Nauseating

Ever get one of those nauseating Christmas letters that goes on and on about their child's success? This is one of those so read no further unless your stomach is strong! I know I sometimes dwell on my kids emotional issues, so today I am bragging. S called from college. Her intramural soccer team won the championship game. She also won a contest at school this year similar to the Amazing Race. Out of the 30 some teams that tried out they picked 8. They chose her team of 3 girls. They won first place! She has been working at a bank that has told her when she gets her degree they will promote her to loan officer if she chooses to stay. H is mentoring middle schoolers once a week. She is going on a mission trip to work with inner city children over Christmas break in TX. She was home for Thanksgiving and when I admired a pair of shoes I didn't need in a shoe store she bought them for me for Christmas. She is majoring in graphic design and made the above trees completely from her own imagination. I love it. It is a larger tree reaching down to a small tree. An went to his first high school swim meet and broke the record for our high school in the 500 yd free style. He has had 2 meets and has qualified for state in 4 events. He is such an encourager to me and I appreciate the fact that he cares so much about my feelings. R made honor roll first quarter! He also won the character counts award for Responsibility. Al is learning Origami. He is pretty good at it and can make some pretty neat things. He has always been good with his hands! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. It felt good to be positive. If you are still with me, thanks for hanging in. I won't do this too often, even though it is tempting. I love all 5 of my kids exactly as they are. Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in the difficulties.

That was fabulous! Congrats to all! Come visit me some time soon and bring A. They are going to be doing an origami exhibit at the IMA in the Spring. My A is into it too.

I am not nauseated at all, but praising God for some joy in your life this week. Glad to hear of it.
