Hurray for our Kids!

Our weekends have been so busy I haven't done this for awhile. It is time to say something positive about what has happened at your house this week.

Eagle - Called just to chat when she was bored. I liked that.
Dancer- We spent the afternoon out together and had a great time.
Fish - Has done a great job of getting himself up at 6:30 am and driving for an hour alone to swim team.
Bear - filled out 2 more job applications with help.
Taz- has been working hard at getting his attitude adjusted after a rough week.

So please tell me some good news from your way!

ds12 was able to enjoy his birthday, and had moments where he was able to express his feelings, even when some anger was present (that was HUGE for him!!).

dd10 stopped next to me to kiss my forehead or cheek on multiple occasions. She was feeling lovey, and knew I needed it.

ds9 was invited to a birthday party and came home with a goodie bag full of candy, which he plans to share with his siblings.

dd8 worked extra hard at being kind to her little sister, even when her stress level was high (at the city pool, which she loves, but it sends her over the top!).

dd5 LET her sister be kind to her and didn't push her buttons at the pool (she usually loves her magical powers of being able to make dd8 freak out with just a look or a silly behavior). They smiled, laughed and played together for a good hour.

Thanks for sharing your life with us. I loved your comment on Coffee Beans blog. I used to be one of those Christians who tried it without the Holy Spirit. Can't do it. NO power on our own.
Glad you have had some positive things with your kids.

Late in the game, but I still want to play:

S is getting a head start on her fall schoolwork and seems very excited about the new year. (weird)

J is giving softball her all and is really trying to follow ALL of her coaches advice.

A is being very loving and affectionate.
