suffering

Suffering...it describes a child with RAD perfectly. My son is suffering. He knows we are going to start going to therapy twice a week after the first of the year. He knows if he does not work we will start trying to decide about what to do next and that he will not like it. In his mind he has given up. He does not think he can bond with me. He does not see any chance of success. So now what falls to me as mom is to figure out how to get him to believe that he can do this. It is not impossible. Challenging. But then I've never run from a big challenge.
