Silliness is highly underrated. I know I sure like it. Here are some excellent articles on being silly with your adopted child to bring joy into parenting. It can become a daily drudge when your child is constantly defying you, putting you down and ridiculing you. So laugh together!!

I agree, though sometimes I drive my family nuts with silliness. But, then I think they would worry if I didn't act crazy on ocassion.

As they become teens they don't appreciate my humor as much. hmmm. Maybe they just lose theirs! Your drawing on Because I Said So is very nice. I didn't figure out that was yours until I visited your blog.
I haven't been called "Ricky" in a number of years - but you go ahead and stick with it if it suits you. I don't mind.

This is one area where I may be an overachiever. My kids think I am a total goofball. They don't mind it as long as we are home and behind closed doors. In public...well, they pretend they don't know me.
